We are sending gift boxes to soldiers in Afghanistan. Which telephone calling cards are the best to send?
you need to get the ones that are for international calls and one with the cheaper rate. I always send one from the post office and that way it is already in the system. get plenty of minutes also. I usually send one with about 300 minutes or more so they can call home alto.

I used a calling card to call a UK call phone from my US land line and got far less minutes then the phone card promised. I used it all on one call. When I called customer service they said something about taxes and surcharges. Does anyone know what they are talking about? Are these fees also charged when you call from your cell phone or landline or just when you use calling cards? I can't figure out the cheapest way to be making these calls. Any advice is appreciated.

You should check rates on a couple of websites before making a decision. If you are unsure of what questions to ask prior to buying a card, try a search for phone card tips on your favorite search engine. Before I purchased my first phone card, I found some good tips at a website called SpeedyPin. I'm sure there are others, but this satisfied my questions.

umm you can skip the phone card stuff and get the dsn number. that can work thats how i contact my friends them if your husband call you ask him for the dsn number then which state you live in call the closest military base and the will help you contact the dsn number.
