Can you use calling cards with a cell phone?

I mean pre-purchased long-distance or international calling cards with which you dial an access number first, and then your destination number.

Can you use calling cards with a cell phone?
Yes you can but keep in mind you will still be using your local airtime minutes. All the calling card will do is avoid the long distance charges. So, depending on your usage and compare the long distance rates with your cellular service provider, using the calling card may be more economical for you.
Reply:Sure. You can find many cards like that. You will use your local airtime minutes. The calling card is much cheaper than cellphone company's long distance charge, even add your local airtime charges together.

Reply:Sure you can. When i was working in the US, a friend recommend viapin.com, that is a company that sells international calling cards, I used it and work fine from a cell. OH and a extra thing is that there is no aditional cost.
Reply:Yes, you can. Calling cards are universal. It's important, what fees are charged and how long is a rounding period. Main, try to choose a calling card which has no or low connection/maintenance fees and low rounding period. For details and purchasing calling cards on-line go to International Phone Card Review
