That really depends, there are two kinds of phone cards.





1) For prepaid cell phone services like trac fone. With this kind of phones, you can only buy and use their predefined cards, You won't be able to use just any other carriers card.





2) The other kind of cards are for domestic or international calls. With this cheap calling cards you will be able to use them to call from any phone to any location in the world.
Reply:Well the ones that the phone company offers pretty much yeah. But if you have like Cingular or T-mobile you can like buy unlocked one (cause each company locks their phones so one cannot use them on other companies) from e-bay and can put that prepaid card in that phone. This cannot be done with SPrint or Verizon (i dont think sprint has prepaid options). Well generally you're just stuck with the phones they give to use as prepaid but if u can u can search around for unlocked GSM phones. hope this helps.
