If I use a prepaid calling card to make long distance calls from my cell phone will my cell phone charge me?

I don't want to use my cell phone to make long distance calls because it would be really expensive, so I was going to buy a sprint calling card, and use that to make long distance calls from my cell phone. I just don't want to have to pay a fee with my cell phone company for the calls as well as buying the cards.

If you are making calls to an 800 number to access the time on your prepaid card, then the minutes used while on that call will most likely go against your airtime allowance on your calling plan. If you make the call when you have unlimited minutes, like during nights and weekends (if your plan includes n%26amp;w) then the mins would not go against your allowance.

Reply:most companies now have long distance included in ur plan. so u really dont get charged for the call specially if u call on free nights/weekends. but other wise it just takes ur minutes off ur minutes in ur plan.
Reply:I don't think it will, I've been using prepaid card to call from my cellphone and my home phone. And I don't think i got charged for anything. But I noticed that when I called from a public phone, I did get charged for that. I'm using At%26amp;T and vonage anyway, so maybe different provider has different policy.
