What is the best way to call my husband stationed in IRAQ, pre-paid phone or calling card? If either is better, what brand/kind? THANKS!
What is the best way to call my husband stationed in IRAQ, pre-paid phone or calling card?
umm you can skip the phone card stuff and get the dsn number. that can work thats how i contact my friends them if your husband call you ask him for the dsn number then which state you live in call the closest military base and the will help you contact the dsn number. JUST MAKE SURE YOU SAY ITS IMPORTANT. i hope it works for you. i post some links read about it . if you dont get to call use the MCI calling Card i list a link at the bottom
Reply:Unless he has a Cell Phone, you can't. Email will be just fine. Sending regular hand written letters will boost his morale.
Reply:Iraq cell phone is very expensive. My friend calls using this card

Excellent quality! $4.79 for 119 mins to Iraq
Reply:You cant call him unless he has a cell phone there and if you do call him your bill will be up the roof. YOu guys can instant messenge each other for free. its what my husband who is in iraq and i do.
Reply:use a calling card, it is much cheaper. but dont buy a regular one that you would buy from the store, if you do, say you bought a 500 min card, you would only get about 50 minutes if your lucky. if you go to www.callingcards.com, they sell international calling cards and you get all the minutes you buy, i used it when my hubby was in iraq. just make sure that you select Iraq cellular in the destination box.
Reply:I think the best way woudl be for him to have a laptop and you two instant message each other, and if you two haev a webcam and speakers/mic, you can see, and talk and hear each other....its much cheaper...and you can actually see him that way
Reply:International calling card, the best rate is 11 cents/minute. And you can compare many calling cards online at http://www.eecalling.com/p/buy.php?idcou...
