Will I be charged for the call at the hotel if I use a calling card?

I am going to the middle of knowhere for 2 weeks. I did some research and the area is roaming through my cell phone. Looking at the hotel online, it says that local calls are free for up to 30 minutes. Would a calling card constitute the same type of thing? As it would be like a 1-800 number?

If the number is a 1-800 number you usually just dial 9 then the number %26amp; there is NO charge for this.
Reply:Shouldn't have to pay the hotel anything but then again they may have rules and charges that they want to charge anyway. When in doubt...ask before making the call.
