I have a question about calling card display numbers?

My friend called from Thailand using a calling card; but a Mississippi number came up on my cell phone ID. Is that normal?

Yep..quite normal.. Most calling card calls made within the US, now display the caller ID of the phone you are calling from. (So much for anonymity.) I believe this was implemented due to Homeland Security issues. Previously, it would display a number from some central calling card carrier area.
