I need to buy a calling card to call a russian mobile phone, any ideas?
It will be much cheaper to buy an international calling card. Use your favorite search engine and type in "international calling card". Once you pick which company you want to use, it will have a list of countries to call to. You can buy cards for as cheap as $10, and you can expect to pay between 8 and 15 cents a minute. If your girlfriend lives in Moscow it will be even cheaper, and if she has a landline phone you can pay less that 5 cents a minute. If she uses megaphone cell phone it will have a country code of 8 instead of Russia's usual 7. Switch this number to 7 when calling from outside Russia or you will not get through. Another trick is to find the direct number to the cell phone service provider and call them direct. They will have a recording instructing you dial the cell phone you wish to reach. If you go this route you will be paying the much lower fee for a landline phone call instead of a cell phone call. I know megaphone's direct number from the US is 011-7-095-505-44-88 (a megaphone cell phones usual prefix is 926). If she uses another company I am not sure where you can find this direct number, but maybe your girlfriend can get you this information.
Reply:Check http://www.eecalling.com, some of the cards don't have Maintenance Fee, some have, and Rounding minutes the lower the better, all depends on how you used the cards.

you can buy your card anywhere at any time, you get the PIN NO. instantly after you paid.

Reply:First, don't be foolish or make her feel uncomfortable by "declaring yourselves a couple" (your screen name). That's kind of a silly thing to do--especially considering that you "just got" her phone number.

Nothing wrong with calling her. Use your head, though.

By far, the best I've used for all international calling is linked below.

Advice from the guy above looks good, too. I'm going to look into it for calls to Asia.
Reply:Any should work, If she has access to same tech....
